‘The House Of The Devil’ Creator Wants To Chat With You On Twitter… Today!

Not just today, but soon. Very soon. 11am PST/2pm EST soon.
Here’s the deal: the big Halloween-themed horror flick hitting theaters this weekend is “The House of the Devil,” written and directed by Ti West. Now I haven’t seen this puppy yet, but I’ve been hearing some awfully good things about it.
As a treat to the fans and curious parties alike, West will make himself available today on Twitter for one hour, starting at the above-mentioned time. Just tweet your questions and comments with the tag #DEVILHOUSE, and follow @MagnolaPics to catch the answers as they roll out. I love how Twitter allows for this kind of personal interaction with the creatives behind a movie, which is why I’m giving it a shout here on Movies Blog today. Also, the movie looks hella cool. My colleagues out there who have seen it certainly seem to agree.
Cinematical’s Eric Snider said “You have to wait for ‘The House of the Devil’ to deliver on its promises — but when it does, holy crap.” The Los Angeles Times describes it as “scary, not gory.” And Karina Longworth’s wonderfully detailed (but spoiler-free) review for Spout Blog calls the movie’s scare tactics effective “in a way that unrelenting brutality could never be.”
Are you planning to check out “The House of the Devil” this weekend?
